POSITION SUMMARY:
ATEC is looking for a Program Coordinator who will be responsible for providing a variety of administrative and program management duties. You will be responsible in planning and organizing programs and activities as well as carry out important operational duties.
TERMS OF REFERENCE:
The Program Coordinator will provide services and responsibilities associated with the delivery of programs offered at ATEC.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the coordinate ATEC programming
- Assist in the development of programming
- Develop and assist in funding proposals for the programs
- Prepare yearly statistical and financial reports as required
- Prepare and provide all program reports as required by funders, Adult Learning and Literacy, accrediting entities as required, and the Director of ATEC
- Participate in professional development activities related to the program
- Meet with the program’s advisory group as required
- Submit mid-term marks, final marks, attendance reports, and other reports as required by accrediting entities
- Recommend texts, resources, reference materials, and required supplies as needed
- Assist in planning and preparing instructional timetables
- Assist in administering assessment tests, registering of students and provide advice on class selections
- Provide academic and career counseling to students
- Assist in planning and implementing an innovative recruitment plan
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with administration, staff, and representatives of organizations and groups
- Assist in preparing and distribute student placement and recruitment, advertising, and marketing materials
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Liaise with other college and university recruitment counsellors
- Plan and organize orientation sessions for students
- Respond to queries from prospective or registered students
- Analyze, evaluate, and report on recruitment activities to administration
- Meet with students as requested for personal reasons and career counselling
- Maintain regular communication with all students
- Direct students to appropriate resources and supports when needed
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a Bachelor degree
- Experience working in adult education with Indigenous students
- Counsellor experience preferred
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to work overtime/travel when required
- Salary will be based on a combination of education and experience
