In 1998, NCN set out in law its wishes for the governance of its citizens, the protection of its lands, the use of its resources, and the election of its government.
The First Nation is committed to community consultation and holds regular General Band Meetings of Members to discuss important issues and give Members an opportunity to ask questions and meet Council members.
Democratic elections are held for the offices of Chief and six Councillors every four years. The last election was held August 21, 2014 and the next election will be held August 22 and 23, 2018.
NCN Administration provides management and administrative support to Council.
