Join us as we honour and feast for our Ancestors.
NCN is planning on “Bringing Home the Ancestors and Their Belongings” during the week of July 18-22, 2022. Many of our Ancestors were disinterred by the flooding and shoreline erosion caused by the Churchill River Diversion Project and have been in the custody of the Heritage Resources Branch for several years now. Repatriation has been on hold for two years because of the pandemic.
Now is the time to bring our Ancestors home to the land where they once walked.
