NCN Community is not in imminent threat or danger to wildfires, widespread smoke and poor air quality will continue to persist, be on alert for changing conditions and plan accordingly.
The Manitoba Wildfire Service has informed us that Fire NO-050 continues to be monitored, with no significant change in the fire’s status yesterday. Fire NO-062 had aerial suppression support, heli-bucketing, yesterday on the southeast edge of the fire. Aerial suppression support will be utilized again today. Fire NO-144 is under control and continues to be monitored.
PR391 remains open up to the NCN junction, and is closed to the west towards Leaf Rapids.
Forecast weather for today, northwest winds at 5 – 10 km/h, daytime high 22 C. Similar weather pattern for the next couple of days, with some possible rain Friday/Saturday.
