TENDER NOTICE

The Nisichawayasihk Housing Authority (NHA) is now accepting bids for the following Construction project.

PROJECT: NHA – 10 Units Housing Project

Project Tentative start date: September 10, 2026

Bid details:

1. All scope and construction information provided in tender document.
2. General Contractors must provide legal business name and address and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) business registration.
3. General Contractors must pay construction workers through payroll and remittance of Employment Insurance to CRA.
4. General Contractors must provide names and certification for lead carpenter and all sub-trades (Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical (HVAC).
5. General Contractors are to employ NCN local workers wherever possible.
6. General Contractors are responsible for pick up and or delivery of all construction materials
7. General Contractors are responsible for the safety, security, site cleanliness and all materials on site.
8. Obtaining all permits required to perform the work. (Electrical, OWMS).
9. Ensuring that all work conforms to standards as set out in the NBC of Canada, the blueprints and specifications.

Bid Opening for the 10 Housing Units Tender

The NCN construction committee will open the bids on the 10 Housing Units tender at 1:00pm September 9, 2026 in the Chamber room of the NCN Government Building on 12 Bay Road, Nelson House, Manitoba.

The construction contractors, or a company representative, that submitted a bid are welcome to attend and observe the opening of the sealed bids but must leave when the NCN construction committee begins the selection discussions for recommendation to the NHA Housing Board of Directors.
