Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation is pleased to announce that our community will be installing a 7,000 square foot outdoor Skatepark which can be utilized by all citizens! Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation in partnership with Jordan’s Principle has secured funding for this project. The construction of this project will commence July 2, 2023 and will conclude August 10, 2023. Over the next 2 weeks we will be conducting surveys in person and online to gather community feedback on where the skatepark should go. In consultation with NCN Lands, the 3 site areas to choose from are:
- Corner of New School Road and Main Road (Across from new water truck fill station)
- Beside Gilbert McDonald Arena
- Bayroad area near high rocks
