1. Introduction
Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (NCN) is inviting proposals from qualified caterers to provide catering services for:
Community Engagement on Social Progress through Prevention Programming – Around the World Feast – August 15, 2025 – 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
This RFP follows NCN's procurement policy and is part of our commitment to transparency and cost-efficiency.
2. Scope of Services
The selected caterer will be responsible for:
– Preparing and delivering meals/snacks/beverages for Community Engagement Workshop
– Ensuring safe food handling and hygiene standards
– Providing disposable utensils, plates, napkins, cups, etc.
– Clean-up and removal of waste after service
The expected number of participants per event is approximately 200, with dietary restrictions and preferences to be accommodated (Options for diabetes sensitive, vegetarian, gluten-free, and traditional meals).
3. Proposal Requirements
Interested caterers are required to submit the following:
– Completed pricing table (see below)
– Sample menu options
– Proof of Food Handler Certification or licensing
– Business registration (if applicable)
– References from past catering clients (preferably for groups of 50+)

5. Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following:
– Cost competitiveness
– Menu variety and nutritional value
– Experience and qualifications
– Capacity to deliver on short notice
– References
6. Terms and Conditions
– NCN reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.
– NCN may award the contract in whole or in part.
– The successful proponent must comply with all applicable health, safety, and labour laws.
– A holdback of 20% of the total contract value will be applied until all contract deliverables are met, per NCN's contract policy.
7. Submission Instructions
All proposals must be received by August 6, 2025 at 4 pm. Late submissions will not be accepted.
