Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation is honouring the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation
By asking everyone to participate in orange t-shirt, orange ribbon skirt and shirt, moccasin and an eagle feather day. We will embrace spirits of our ancestors and all unite together in the spirit of healing.

- Sacred Fire will be light at sunrise by the Medicine Lodge Area
- Grand Entry – Lead FNSOs and Veterans
- Master of Ceremony – Councillor Jacqueline Walker -Portfolio Councillor
- Multiplex 1:00 pm – Pipe Ceremony -Lead Pipe and Calling on all pipe Carriers
- Opening Remarks- Councillors Cheyenne (Spence) Colomb and Jacqueline Walker
- Prayer Poem-Marilyn Linklater
- Residential School Survivors Presentation – Carol Prince and Fred Hart
- Heart Beats of Drums Begin- Lead Drum High Rock Cree and Calling on all NCN Drum Carriers
- Little Spirits (children who did not make it home) are heart beats through our living drums
- Candlelight Ceremony for RS who have passed and the little spirits who did not make it home. Please bring photos of your loved ones to be remember or embraced
- Honouring Song “Remember Me” lead by Catlin Francois with mothers, grandmothers, daughters and survivors
- Pow wow Dance – Lead Dancers Candace Linklater and Rob Atcheynum calling on NCN traditional dancers to dance in the spirit of healing
- Honouring all Residential School Survivors and Day School Survivors – through acknowledgements
- Round Dance
- Feast- Traditional Foods
Calling on all Pipe Carriers and Drum Carriers
