NELSON HOUSE, MANITOBA – April 30, 2018 – Chief and Council of the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation wish to thank everyone who has offered condolences, prayers and assistance to our community during this very difficult tragedy. As many people have asked what they can do to help, a Go Fund Me page has been set up to accept donations for the family and the community. The funds will be used to help with wake and funeral costs for the three families and to build safe bike trails and obtain lighting at the site where the children died as a memorial to them. On behalf of our community, we appreciate all the support we have received since this tragedy occurred on the evening of Saturday April 28th.
