We are pleased to inform the citizens of Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (NCN) that the NCN Women’s Shelter will be open effective February 18, 2019.
The NCN Women’s Shelter will provide a ‘crisis shelter’ service for women of NCN fleeing domestic violence. We can also accommodate women with young children (0-12 years of age).
Other services for women available at the NCN Women’s Shelter include:
- Counselling and support services
- Guidance and transitional support towards independent living
- Violence prevention programming
The NCN Women’s Shelter will be open 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
