Sunday, July 6, 2025 – NCN Fire Update From EMO Team
This is to inform Citizens that the NCN Emergency Management Office (EMO) has been in consultation with all levels of government regarding the ongoing wildfire situation. At this time, Priority One individuals from the NCN Personal Care Home (PCH) will be transferred to their designated placements as soon as appropriate facilities have been secured.
For all other community members, the situation will remain status quo until further updates are received on the wildfire threat and associated risks to the community.
Chief and Council have officially declared a State of Emergency. This means that, should the wind direction shift or the threat of smoke or fire increase, the community may be placed on standby for evacuation.
For preparedness, all community members are asked to:
• Have a bag packed and ready;
• Ensure all medications are on hand;
• Secure any valuables;
• Register any pets;
• Have personal vehicles fueled up.
