- Recent NCN Bulletin # 86 regarding Lockdown indicates some easing up on the restrictions but all covid guidelines still need to be followed!
- At a special board meeting on Thursday, Feb. 3rd, 2022 at 7 p.m., the Board made the following SBMotion # 2022-02-03-03:
Based on the current covid situation/facts at NCN, the NNCEA School Board of Trustees want remote learning to continue in both OK and NNOC schools for the week of February 7-11, 2022. - This decision was based primarily on the fact that the covid rates for 17 and under are rather high.
- Vaccination rates for 17 and under are still low.
- It is the School Board’s hope that by next week when they meet again, that covid rates for 17 and under will be lower & vaccination rates for 17 and under will be higher.
- In the meantime, parents/guardians are still encouraged to make appointments to take their child(ren) to vaccine clinics at NLMM or FCWC for a needle please.
- Please take your child (ren) for a needle to guard against the spread of the virus & needless suffering!
- Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) Kits delivered this week should not be used until a few days before in class learning at school begins. If parents did not receive a “RAT” kit, one can be picked up at AMEC office.
- After the School Board meets next week, another message regarding school for the week of February 14-18th, 2022 will be issued.
- Kinanskomitan for your patience, understanding and co-operation!
