Message to All NNCEA Parents/Caregivers & NCN Community from NNCEA Director of Education, June 9^th, 2022

Tanisi! It’s been awhile since info was shared!  The 2022-23 school year is nearly over!  The last day of school will be June 29^th at 2:30 pm. This year was a bit smoother compared to the last two.

Many thanks to everyone (NCN Chief & Council, NNCEA School Board, NNCEA Administration/Staff, students/parents/caregivers, community workers, Covid -19 personnel) who have helped during this school year! All of your hard work has kept us going and safe, kinanaskomitan!

NNCEA/NCN/TFC research project:

Good news! The NNCEA/NCN/TFC research project is still underway!  Five surveys (one for gr. 4-6 students, one for gr. 7-12 students, one for former NNCEA students, one for teachers and NNCEA staff and one for the community) are now ready for circulation and for educational stakeholders to complete.  Participants need to complete only ONE of the surveys that are suitable.  An excellent chance to share your ideas on what education could be like at Nisichawayasihk in the next 40 years!

***Surveys need to be completed by midnight on Sunday, June 19^th, 2022 so results can be tabulated. Once all the information is gathered, the research team will begin the final research report which will be presented at NNCEA’s Annual General Assembly on Wednesday, August 3^rd, 2022

The next regular NNCEA school board meeting is Thursday, June 30^th, 2022 at 5 p.m. at AMEC. Due to the grade 12 graduation on June 28th.  All School Board meetings are open to the people with covid-19 precautions in place.  Join us!

The Annual General Assembly of the NNCEA is scheduled for Wednesday, August 3^rd, 2022 at 4 p.m. at the Gilbert McDonald Arena, please join us for this special occasion. Grand entry at 3 p.m. with more complete event details to follow.

This school year, like all the others, have been positive, pleasant and productive! May you all have an enjoyable, restful summer!
