Precipitation across the Lake Winnipeg and Churchill River basins has been significantly below normal for over two years. System inflows are among the lowest recorded in the past 40 years for this time of year and will not improve without significant, widespread precipitation. Manitoba Hydro understands that community members may have concerns about low water levels. Manitoba Hydro advises community members to exercise caution on the waterways during periods of low water levels. To assist leadership in communicating with their members, Manitoba Hydro will continue to provide these weekly water level updates until conditions improve.
