This is a plea for help. We need the people of Thompson and surrounding communities to help us find answers and move forward in the homicide investigation of Bobbie Lynn Moose – a 29-year-old member of the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation.
At approximately 5:10 pm, on the evening of October 17, 2019, the Thompson RCMP were advised by members of the public that a body was discovered in a grassy area along Nelson Road. RCMP officers immediately attended and located the body of a deceased female. Investigators have conducted over 300 interviews, and a highly trained search team was flown-in from Winnipeg to help find evidence. Despite all this work, there is still very little we know about her time in Thompson.
We do know, for certain, that she was dropped off by her sister at the Walmart on Mystery Lake Road on October 1, 2019. But what we’re missing is where she was, who she spoke with, where she stayed and what she was doing between October 1 and October 17.
We need that information. We need tips. We need your help. Someone has information about Bobbie’s time in Thompson between October 1 and October 17. As a community, we must come together and find out what happened. Every tip, every piece of information is valuable to us. If you have heard anything, if you know something, if you think you saw Bobbie – please contact Thompson RCMP at 204-677-6909. Anonymous tips can be made to CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
