SUMMARY:
Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation is seeking a dedicated Information Technology (IT) Technician to serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance within our community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting to assemble, configure, install and test computers and peripheral equipment as required
- Assisting to install software and assist with support and training of staff as required including professional development in basic technology use
- Assisting to set up cabling and networks as directed
- Assist with the establishment and maintenance of appropriate data backup, firewall, and virus scan systems
- Provide assistance with inventory control and maintenance
- Manage deployment and recovery of IT equipment
- Assisting to maintain and update system images and rollout of tested system image using image software
- Perform computer maintenance including virus scans, repairs, cleaning etc
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid CLASS 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation to work
- Secondary and/or postsecondary education
- Experience working in an office setting; committing to attendance expectations
- To work as a team player displaying a positive attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, strong customer service skills
- Demonstrate a positive attitude in a team environment
- Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
