Evacuation Notice for Priority One
As a precautionary measure due to the forest fires surrounding Nisichawayasihk, Chief and Council, in coordination with the Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) Team and external partners, have approved an evacuation order for Priority One community members.
Who Are Priority One Members?
This group can include Individuals:
• Undergoing dialysis
• Diagnosed with terminal illnesses
• Children with complex needs
• Citizens Living with chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD
• Heart problems
• High risk pregnancies, nearing confinement dates
• Requiring frequent hospitalization and nursing station visits for treatment such as:
o Cancer care
o Mental health treatment
o Complex wounds
o Daily Observed Therapy {TB meds)
o Daily procedures (IV meds, dressing changes, etc.)

Priority ones and escorts are reminded to pack a go bag, medications, identification,and proof of residency (i.e. Proof of residency can be established through various documents, including government-Issued IDs, utility bills, financial statements, and lease agreements)
TEMPORARY ID ARE BEING ISSUED TODAY BY THE CITIZENSHIP CLERK AT TRUST OFFICE
We will provide further updates as soon as evacuation plans are finalized.
