PURPOSE OF POSITION:
NCN is strengthening its housing governance and planning capacity through a new leadership structure. We are recruiting a Director of Asset Management to lead NCN’s capital planning, infrastructure development, and long-term financial sustainability efforts.
ABOUT NCN HOUSING:
NCN Housing manages more than 500 homes and is implementing the NCN Housing Strategic Plan 2026-2031. Under the guidance of the Housing Board and Financial Administration Law (FAL), the department is focused on building new homes, maintaining existing assets, and creating a sustainable housing system that serves all NCN citizens.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage NCN’s long-term housing and capital plans.
- Lead feasibility studies, project management, and procurement processes.
- Perform housing funding reconciliations, funding reports, and housing-specific audits.
- Coordinate with NCN Finance for financial statement audit and Treasury Board and funders
- Prepare detailed financial reports and updates for the Housing Board and funders.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Engineering, or Project Management; CPA/PMP asset.
- 5-10 years’ experience in capital or asset management, ideally with First Nations.
- Knowledge of First Nation funding, CMHC/ISC programs, and project reporting.
