On behalf of myself, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation Council and our staff, I am honoured to extend heartfelt congratulations to all of our NCN graduates this year- from our proud kindergarten grads just beginning their learning journey, to our grade 6 students moving up into grade 7 and high school, to our ATEC and MSDP grads, and all of our post-secondary graduates across Manitoba and Canada.
Each one of you has shown incredible strength, resilience, and commitment to reach this special milestone. Whether you are starting your education, moving into the next grade, or celebrating the completion of a certificate, diploma, or degree- we are so very proud of you!
Your success is also a reflection of the love and guidance you have received along the way. We thank all of our teachers, administrators, educational assistants, support staff, bus drivers, custodians, and especially our parents, grandparents, guardians, and NCN Elders who have supported you. You have each played an important role in encouraging and lifting up our youth and graduates, and your dedication and care have helped them achieve their goals.
To our kindergarten grads- may your future in school be filled with joy and discovery.
To our grade 6 students- embrace your next chapter with courage and confidence.
And to our ATEC grads, MSDP grads, and all of our post-secondary grads- you have worked so hard to get here. Take pride in your success and carry forward the teachings, culture, and values you have learned along the way.
Your Nation is proud of you, and we cannot wait to see all of the amazing things you will do. Keep reaching for the stars- we believe in you!
