The NCN Emergency Management Operations (EMO) Team and Chief and Council have heard your concerns regarding the accommodations for our NCN Evacuees in Winnipeg. We understand the challenges our NCN community have been facing.

We are pleased to announce that arrangements have now been made for NCN evacuees to relocate to Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Relocation Details:

 

Step 1: Travel to Hamilton, Ontario

Step 2: Transportation to Niagara Falls for hotel check-in

  • Accommodations: Ramada Hotel – 500 people (4 per room)
  • Wyndham Grand – 500 people (4 per room)

Meals:

  • Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Lunch: 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Dinner: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

On-Site Support & Services:

  • 20 security guards (day) / 15 security guards (night) per hotel
  • 5 incident commanders at each site
  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) room in each hotel
  • First aid on site
  • Transportation provided
  • Mental health workers available daily
  • Smudge circles, sweat lodges, and cultural supports each week
  • Addiction support team on site
  • Recreation and activities for children and families daily

Family-Friendly Activities in Niagara falls:

  • Blue Jays baseball games
  • CN Tower tours
  • Toronto Zoo
  • Movies, bowling, water park and more
