 NCN owns and operates a growing number of successful profit and non-profit, corporations and organization that serve Nelson House and Thompson, as well as the Wuskwatim Project being constructed in the Nelson House Resource Area, in partnership with Manitoba Hydro.
As part of the Wuskwatim Project Development Agreement, qualifying NCN businesses can enter in direct negotiations for a number of contracts. These include:
• Access road contract
• Security contract
• Catering contract
• Cross-cultural training and on-site counselling contract
• Main camp sewer and water contract
• Site preparation contract
• Transmission-line clearing contract.
