 NCN owns and operates a growing number of successful profit and non-profit corporations and organization that serve Nelson House and Thompson as well as the Wuskwatim Project now under construction in the Nelson House Resource Area, in partnership with Manitoba Hydro.
As part of the Wuskwatim Project Development Agreement, qualifying NCN businesses or joint-venture companies successfully negotiated a number of contracts. These included:
- Access road contract
- Security contract
- Catering contract
- Cross-cultural training and on-site counselling contract
- Main camp sewer and water contract
- Site preparation contract
- Transmission-line clearing contract.
